Finish line

by sun spots   Jan 23, 2012

Without your love,
life for me,
would be filled with misery.
But that shall never be the case,
we are not in some kind of race.
The finish line is were we choose,
if we take our time we will not lose.
Lets walk together or even run,
and just keep talking and having fun.
The time will come when we will know,
In which direction we will go.
Until that day we draw no line,
and we love each other all the time.

I love how you start the poem with describing her love which is so dear to you. its like her love is your happiness, something you cant live without coz you will be sad and miserable if it were to go away.

You go on to assure her that you being in misery because her love is lost can never be the case because you believe in her and have faith in your love. Good choice of words there i must say.

The future is uncertain and though people might guess but you can never tell what will surely happen. its like you are telling her to enjoy the present with and that you shouldnt worry or be in a hurry to witness the future coz the present with her is what matters most to you.

A nice ending to a well written poem that i felt was brilliant. 5
