Fading Shield

Throughout my life,
I've built up a shield.
This shield has protected me,
From hurt
From loss
And from the insults thrown at me.
This shield has been steady for years.
But now,
The shield is fading.
I cry more, feel more pain, and let it show.
I'm not used to being vulnerable
And it sucks.

    Being vulnerable is not a good thing to be. .. especially around people who hurt you the most.... sorry about your fading shield though, , sometimes they need to come down for something good to get in, but I understand being afraid.

    Aww Sami don't be sad!!
    we all build shield around us. But sometimes those shields aren't strong enough, coz the real enemies are inside us... :(
