Goodbye My Friend

by Emily Strickland   Jun 25, 2004

It Seems Like Only Yesterday
You Were Sitting Here With Me
But Today Your Somewhere Else
Roaming Around, Your Soul Free

You Were The Only Person
That Ever Even Understood
You Knew Me Inside And Out
If I Could Go Back, I Would

Go Back To When You Were Here
My Only True Best Friend
The Only One Ever There For Me
Your Hand You'd Always Lend

I Miss You More And More Each Day
Wishing You Were Still Here
Instead Im Left Alone
Sheding Every Last Tear

I Will Cherish All Our Memories
Never Will I Forget You
And Forever Will I Remember
All The Things We Used To Do

You Will Always Be Near Me
I'll Keep You In My Heart
And Our Friendship Will Last Forever
Even Though We Are Apart

Your The Most Wonderful Person
That I Have Ever Known
I Promise To Always Visit
And Bring Flowers To Your Stone

I Hope That Your Happy
Up In The Clouds Floating Free
And In My Heart I Hope
That You Will Never Forget Me

Im Sorry That You Had To Go
And That Your Life Had To End
But I Will Still Always Love You
Goodbye My Dear Friend
