First of all I really like the title and it definitely drew me in, mainly because of how "general" it is. It caused me to wonder right away who that fiance would be and whether "our fiance" actually refers to one person and the same person for all.

Having those thoughts in my mind I started reading your poem.
I understand why you decided to put your poem into this category, but sometimes this poem felt eerie and though it had a chilly touch. I almost felt forced to feel comfortable about the situation in the poem, which underlines your words really well since a date is usually something people look forward to, while dying is not at all.

Overall this is a really well written poem and I so like the idea behind it.
