Where Did You Go

by Emily Strickland   Jun 25, 2004

Mommy Please Tell Me
Where Did You Go
Will I Ever See You Again
I Really Need To Know

You Told Me Around Five
Is When You'd Be Back
But Now It's Nearly Seven
And Still You Are Not Back

I'm Sitting Here
At The House Alone
Anxiously Waiting
For Your Return Home

It Seems I Have Been Waiting
Such A Very Long Time
Praying That You Make It Back
And Everything Is Fine

Then I Hear A Knock
Gently Upon The Door
Maybe It's You Now
I Wont Have To Wait Anymore

But As I Open It
I Find It Isnt You
It's A Man In A Uniform
A Dark Shade Of Blue

I Tell Him To Come In
He Looks Me In The Eye
He Tells Me The Bad News
I Slowly Begin To Cry

Mommy Tell Me Why
God Took You From Me
I Need You To Be Here
Why Cant He See

I Never Even Had The Chance
To Tell You Goodbye
Mommy I Just Don't Get It
Can You Explain To Me Why

Every Night I Sit And Wish
That You Could Still Be Here
I Want To Let You Know
That I Will Always Love You Dear

I Know That Your In Heaven
Watching Over Me
And I Know That One Day Again
Together We Will Be
