Using the Past to Create the Future

Sitting here waiting for the future to arise
not knowing where it will begin,
The past is not behind
just not seen by some,

Living in the present
is what many say they do,
While not seeing it happen
it may as well be their past,

The future is what we seem to live for
in hopes that memories are bright,
By making the present our brightest dream
we use the past to create our future
