INTRODUCTION

My brother is a hidden poet and I am jealous of his work. Therefore, I am sharing his words with this site. This is a sample of his work...I would love feedback so that I may inspire him to pursue poetry further. Please comment, thank you :)

Longing-
I am not sorry for my soul
That it must go unsatisfied,
For it can live a thousand times,
Eternity is deep and wide.
I am not sorry for my soul,
But oh, my body that must go
Back to a little drift of dust
Without the joy it longed to know.

Love-
When April blends above me
And finds me fast asleep
Dust need not keep the secret
A live heart died to keep.
When April tells the thrushes,
The meadow-larks will know,
And pipe the three words lightly
To all the winds that blow.
Above his roof the swallows,
In notes like far-blown rain.
Will tell the little sparrow,
When I am fast asleep,
Then tell my love the secret
That I have died to keep.
