Wow! Amazing!!! This poem is so touching, so real, so heartbreaking.... so relatable...

I love how this poem is not just about people who passed away or left our lives, but your expressions and imagery were exquisite, and as the reader I really felt everything you expressed. I really liked the rhyme scheme as well! Really nicely penned!

I love it all, but these stanzas were just flawless:

"You gave my life a new meaning
    but then you surrendered yours.
Leaving me like a wrecked ship
    wandering to find its shores.

I said goodbye to a million days
to a million beats; a million tears.
I would give away my life if for
one last time I could see you here."

    >> beautiful! I love the repetition of 'million' .. it gave it emphasis and more meaning, and shows how deeply you are affected by this.

Like all of your poems, I'm not surprised how amazing this one turned out... it really moved me and touched my heart. Worth a nomination and a win!

    Excellent work!

So real, i'm sure all ladies can relate to this one way or the other. Longing for a love that's engraved to ones memory. Your words flow like a smoothie. A 5 4rm me shweety. Superb!!! ;-)

I love the melancholy-rimmed buildup from the very beginning till the very end. I like how smooth it went, yet smoothly frustrating. And oh my God, the last stanza should be an original quote by your name. Great, Meme.

I can only agree with the above. You take our breath away with each write. I think this is my favorite so far I feel the emotion in each line and I'm big on emotional value in a poem

Nice poem, I like the last two sentences

    'Until I have more yesterdays
    than I have tomorrows'

Oh my gosh, what a sad poem :(....your ending line hit home for me. We all wish we had more yesterdays than tomorrows so we could change things or just revisit a memory..this was heart breaking but a great piece of poetry!

I really liked this...it made me think which is a good thing...my fav. stanza was the one about being shipwrecked, it really made sense.

    Awesome poem Hun

    A very sad write.

It is hard when we live by so many memories in our lives, well the ones that hurt us

I guess that makes us who we are
