Born Like A Stranger

by Moodii Evanescence   Jan 29, 2012

One day, I found myself growing up in this place
I started to realize more about it with my first pace
They told me it's called life where you'll become a man
Seek for future and don't run from hard times as anybody ran
Maybe these words were a try to protect me from being evil
But they didn't save me from being under the spell of my devil
I started to discover my way where I could find my pass
They told me to have some hardness, you'll be forced to eat the glass
I couldn't realize how much difficult I'm going to be through
Although I took it as a piece of advice, I couldn't believe it'll be true
Until one day, it was time to see everything happening with my eyes
Everything from our fakes that we deny, to the reality where it lies
It shocked me enough to know it was all written in my fate
And now I blame myself for my fault, for knowing better just too late
Knowing that it's not easy to have a life, the reason why you were born
You have the choice to make it right, or let your feelings get torn
I believe now in completing my journey rather than saying enough
Although I'll be alone in this, facing all this world's tough
But to be safe, to be faraway from all its danger
Knowing nothing about my path, I'll be walking like a stranger
