Genuine Genie

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 29, 2012

In a cave cold and damp
I found a little old lamp.
When I rubbed it with my sleave
I could not hardly believe
what would come out
of that tiny spout.
A dude with a turban
that did not look urban
said that he'd lavish
me with any wish
that I could possibly desire,
but said you are an awful liar,
when I took a premature weenie peek.
Then I turned around and saw a big freak.
I just wanted a modest booster,
not a huge monster of a rooster.
Just be carefull what your wish for
sometimes less is better than more.
The second try got me a twelve inch pianist
so I wished the genie was a genuine linguist
