No Longer One

by Larka   Jan 30, 2012

I smile as I watch him pass,
You don't see the brass,
I let it sink into the skin,
You do not see how I've been.

I lost you and I am to blame,
I feel like I lost a deadly game,
You were what I was looking for,
I wanted nothing more.

You are happy in life now,
I fill as if I only hurt thou,
I will watch you love,
I am nothing but a mourning dove.

The blade will be the punishment,
It my only accompaniment,
I'm sorry for what I have done,
For we are no longer one.
