Change will carry on

Feeling like a single moon among a million stars
kept inside a single cell trapped behind the bars

a single tree in an open field a breeze comes sweeping through
altering your balance harshly uprooting you

a single tear among the smiles though frowns are kept inside
a feeling coils around your spine
these tears you just cant hide

a single word among a world where silence overtakes
tough around the edges in a society of no mistakes

a single voice that no one hears silently crying in pain
in a world so unforgiving
shes caught in the pouring rain

a single head among the rest, decides to turn away,
her pleading eyes are begging you to help her out today

this single soul in a world of hate where no one understands
gets on her knees bows her head and folds her tiny hands

a single child in trouble, turns to the one who will hopefully see
she can be loved for who she is
not who they want her to be

now she sees without the moon no one would ever know
that though it might be different
its what makes the night sky glow

a single tree among a field will soon grow big and strong
its scattered seeds will also grow and change will carry on
