A Light in the Dark

In my darkest times
when I was lost within my mind
And hatred and depression were all I knew
In this life that I called mine

I was shattered and desolated throughout time
I had lost all hope all feeling
I just wanted to die

Then in my darkness a light shone through
A light took my pain
This light was dim at first
But eventually the darkness began to fade
And all because the light gave me new hope again
This light helped me find myself
It showed me a new way

But this light of mine started to fade
And when I thought I had lost my light
And all darkness had returned
This light burst though again
Stronger than before
My light shines again

It showed me a new love
And gave me hope when mine was all gone
This light saved me
And showed me their was a way
It's the reason I'm here today

I fell in love with this light
And I hope this light I wont lose
For this light is my reason my happiness
It is my love, my meaning...
