10 Years

When I first saw you,
my knees went weak.
I opened my mouth,
but I couldn't speak.

You looked so perfect,
like God's greatest design.
You would look perfect,
even over time.

Your voice so sweet,
so soft and true.
I couldn't help it,
I was falling in love with you.

Your eyes so beautiful,
the deepest green.
Just like the grass,
that grows in the spring.

The smile that lit up a room,
the one that made me happy.
I couldn't help but smile,
everytime your smile I'd see.

I've loved you for,
these past 10 years.
Your memory always,
drove away my fears.

You never knew how I felt,
never knew about the love.
Maybe someday I can tell you,
when I meet you up above.

But for now I won't tell,
I'll just lock up my feelings inside.
Tell myself I don't still love you,
even though my heart knows I lied.
