Illusive

by Jenni Marie   Feb 4, 2012

Fallacious, so deceiving
creating illusory calm
knowing you're so malignant
so destructive..maybe even fatal

yet...seems I just can't help myself
for I need that harmonious perception
reality has become far to much to deal with
and I need all the help I can get

deep down I'm aware you're the wolf
that enjoys dressing in sheep's clothing
and yet still I don't chase you away
for you've become essential to my delectation

and so I'll block out your mendacious qualities
concentrating on only the illusive sweetness portrayed
we'll remain together for a little while longer
and I'll keep praying I can eradicate you

when I need to.
