Missing You

In a silent sleep i dreamed
of you when you were mine
the way you always had a smile
the way your eyes did shine

then my dream turned into terror
when i woke and you were gone
and i shivered in the darkness
when i knew i was alone

in the stillness of the night
i lie awake and think of you
all the things we shared
all the things we went through

i cried a million tears
yet the tears still seemed to flow
did you know when you were here
how i much loved you so

i can't believe your gone
is it real or just a dream
is it hard to understand
why it was you instead of me

the hardest thing i've ever done
was telling you goodbye
i thought my heart would surely break
i thought i'd surely die

but no matter how much i miss you
or how many times i've cried
i believe that god just needed
another angel by his side

This is about my best friend that died a few years back we were in the 6th grade and it was three days before christmas and it broke my heart and i miss her dearly she was my support system and she's the reason i started writting. Not a day goes by that i don't miss her and wish she hadn't died but I know that everything happens for a reason.
