Laments Leavings

by Daisy if you do   Feb 6, 2012

Warm salty waters rush,
pouring over each limb
in a futile attempt to move me
Only to try again with each swell
grasping at the grains of my bed.
One by one carrying them away

The same place where many a night
I offered Neptune gifts of lament,
only to awaken and find Apollo
had stashed them somewhere
between my own eyelashes

Today is different...
For, Apollo has conceded.
I have found a place of
perpetual darkness
Where he and I
will never rise again.

Sadness comes to my mind when I read this piece.
    I find it well written.

Dixiedaisy, I love what you've written. I was sucked in this!
