If I Could Do it All for You

I could write you a hundred-page letter,
but that still wouldn't convey enough.
I could sing you the most romantic song,
but I could never sing it in perfect tune.
I could paint you gardens with water lilies,
but it could never be as beautiful as Monet's.
I could buy you the most expensive gift,
yet it still wouldn't gift me your heart.
I could cook you your favorite meal,
yet it won't taste as good as Ramsay's.
I could swim across the ocean to reach you;
however, you might grow impatient and leave.
I could kiss away all the pain you've ever felt,
yet that wouldn't guarantee the pain will disappear.
I could repeat my professed love for you every second,
but that might bore you and waste your time.
I could follow your footsteps and walk by you;
perhaps our intertwined hands will guide us.

If I could give you all that you wanted,
I promise you - I would.

    I loved this poem! :) I thought that the way you described the lengths you wouls go to just to make the one you love happy & that'd you'd try to do everything you possibly had in your power to do it, this was very well expressed and conveyed true emotion that is relatable to, nice write once again. :)

    Awww! this is so adorable and cute. To do all you want to for the cause of love. What venture one will partake in trying to please your lady or guy. However its not what you do that matters, rather for your acts to be appreciated and reciprocated just to show how much you cherish been with the person. I love how the flow rises on smoothly taking you on a lyrical read. Very intoxicating dear, such sweet words let out. I likey, ;-). blessings...

    Wow, Sara... Usually... I don't care for repetitive lines, but this one was so well written... I couldn't stop reading until it ended. Each line painted a fanstatic image and by then end, you had me so caught up in each line; amazing job.
