Comments : A letter to my daughter

    Hi hun,

This poem saddened me quite a bit.

From what I understood you were writing a letter to your daughter asking her to forgive you for your life and how you have felt during your life?

I was glad about that note in the end with the name - though that is what saddened me the most - I read it as though you feel you are not worthy for the love?

I may have interpreted it wrong though!

    Awesome! Really touched my heart.

    "Will you ever forgive me
for my poetic ignorance and romantic wings?
    My life is half lived.
Maybe it is a collection of wreckages
    and useless things.
I can't live to see clearly
    who I am
or what is in my name."

It took my breath away..you are amazing

    Will you ever forgive me
for my poetic ignorance and romantic wings

^^ this question has got to be one of the most incredible penned questions Ive read in a very long time, maybe ever...That was sooo beautiful.

I don't think poets should have to apologize for their poetic side, our ways of deep thinking, or being romantic. Its an art. Its beautiful...

Any mother who made mistakes never wants their kids to make them and they want their kids to forgive their past, I hope your daughter does, I forgive my mom for hers. It was before me, before you had a clear mind, stuff happens, which is why we learn from mistakes.

This was such a sweet write karla! Very nicely written!

This poem is filled with so much sincerity and though it's so sad, I wish it didn't stop. I can feel how personal this is and that you reveal some hidden parts, but it didn't feel forced, it rather felt relieving.

    Absolutely brilliant Karla!

You don't know the fact.... the fact that whenever I feel loathsome, I go and read your poems..

    Hecate
    Origami
    Little Red Riding Hood...........

    and now, this.

You really have a way in making me nostalgic and vulnerable. The greatest pleasure in here is seeing you in TKR, posting each time a poem. Well, I hope you post only two poems per week because I cannot but nominate them!!!!!<3

God bless you and your daughter. It's not a compliment... but to me, you're perfect.
