Crumpled papers

by Nil   Feb 8, 2012

Once a room full of possibility
Now full of crumpled papers, thoughts
Things you dreamed to be
Only to realize, you weren't
Good enough, pretty enough
Smart enough, just not enough

The odds against,
Overwhelm the possible
And at the end of the day
It's impossible to pick up
The pieces of your dreams
They've been shattered
into oblivion

I want to say
There's a bright side
to this story
But there is not.
There is only a room
full of crumpled papers,
And a lonely person.
