Worlds apart

My feelings for her blazed,
slowly and slowly like first light on the land.
Pain deep within my heart,
to know I had dug my own grave.
Sure at first she acted brave,
I thought she will make it to hospital.
Promises she wanted to make,
but now it's a secret in the grave.

For long I had loved her,
believed I was meant for her.
Now we're two worlds apart,
and truly so much it hurts.
