Step for just a moment
Into my mind
It is here thoughts fly about
Words unwind.
I have many doors
Open them and see
All connecting integral
Parts of me
Open the door labeled "CALM"
You just might find
So many thoughts flow through my mind
As peaceful as the water flows
Over the pebbles in a stream
Moving continuously, Quietly
Move on down to the door labeled "A DIFFERENCE"
And you may feel too
"The Winds Of change" on current course
Blowing constant and steadfast
Lifting Feathers, chasing Doldrums
With the hope of moving great Ships
Or open the door to "MY YOUNGER DAYS"
But watch out those memories like to play
They might give you a tickle
As you gaze in wonder
You might find your shorts at your knees
Or, suddenly your in water
And pulled under
In a flash your at the top of a tree
In a fort made of wood
With the whole world to see
Beware the door called "EXISTENTIALIST DREAD"
I've been there once
All due to free choice
A philosophical room
Filled with different bread
Believe me when I say
Don't let these seeds grow in your head
Open the door to a room called "TRUST"
Notice the quiet way it opens
The hinges have no rust
This room is kept close to my Heart
Can you hear the beating?
They are not at all far apart
It is here I make love grow
Take hold of my hand
You'll see, I won't let go.
One room down is the door to "MY HEART"
This door won't open as you will see
You must first go through the door called "ME"
This is a room with lots of works
Gadgets and Mechanisms
With many quirks
Spindles and looms
Everywhere you gaze
All a part of my inherent maze
But in this room
Is just one door
If you're able to find it
You'll need to find no more
for you will have discovered
The Key to every door
