Sometimes I just wish

by Yakari Gabriel   Feb 13, 2012

Sometimes
I wish trust came in
packs of tea,
so I could just run
and buy myself a new one
when I've ran out of it..

Sometimes,
I wish love was new to me
I wish I could allow it
to walk through the doors
of my room,without
questioning it, without
knowing all the harm it
is capable of doing..

Sometimes,
I wish I could erase
all the scars life has left
on my heart, I wish
I could tear down its boulders
and allow it to feel freely again

Sometimes,
I wish I could take
back my words, my actions
and become a blank sheet
of paper again,
one that won't be crumbled
in someone's hand
and tossed in the trash
because it has too many mistakes
on it..

Sometimes,
I wish I was the final product,
without being a rough
draft first..

too bad,
you have to crawl before
learning to walk,
and too bad you have to earn
your wings before being able to fly..

too bad you have
to actually live first,
before saying

I have lived.

Everything about this poem is awesome and true.

I love the first stanza - Oh my - if only it were as easy as buying new packs of tea. If life were that easy it would be wonderful.

I love the flow of this poem and really enjoyed reading it.

    Well done!!!

    How true this is Yaki.
This was just a masterpiece beyond creativeness, you really are such an amazing writer, I can't begin to explain how I now feel.
