This Generation

People nowadays

Are only on the pursuit of perfection

If you don't look like an Aeropostale model

Then you're not turning onto their intersection

How could a person like me

With so much love, and so much passion

Be turned down by society

Because perfeciton is what I'm lackin

Well to be honest

It's simply because I'm a man of my own breed

And it's complexity that I'm packin

As a young boy I was laughed at

Because I said the analogy that I was a bird

And into greatness my wings were flappin

And still you all are laughin

And still I have to imagine

That I really am a bird of greatness

And nothing will stop my dreams from happenin.

Well. . . Todays a new day

And still the world hasn't changed

The people are still mean

And the government is still missarranged

I'm still waitin on my greatness plane

Or maybe I should take the greatness train

I don't care what it may be. .

As long as it takes me away from the pain

So today I vow to flap my wings

And like that bird I'll fly away

Away from your hatred

Away from this place

And tomorrow you'll wish you said you loved me today

Because I'm into making my dreams come true

So when you look back on this

Just know it's good new

Because today was the day I flied away

Away from the pain I flew.
