A Loveless Day

by Sourav   Feb 17, 2012

Loveless day like a sunless morning
Alone I sit in my lonesome dark room
Abrupt thoughts are anything but enchanting
Like dried flowers over a solitary tomb

A bunch of confused gipsy clouds
Uncertain whether to rain or fly
A few birds quietly observe the doubts
Some relentlessly try to touch the sky

Suddenly the clouds roar in thunder
Wind gets restless and trees start to tremble
Two heedless eyes look out in wonder
Do they find something to resemble?

Birds make haste to find any shelter
And some pedestrians do the same
No one wants any unexpected pelter
Only this life can be a dicey game

But no rain falls and wind slowly dies
Nor comes any light of morning ray
A lonesome soul now peacefully lies
Near the open window on a loveless day.

Very interesting read. My interpretation is that you are using these elements to describe your inner thoughts....the storm being anger and frustration?

The fact that it dies down without really reaching its peak..to me anyway..indicates that decisions have still to be made.

Made me think this one...well done!

I read ur poem twice,I loved the way by which u hav described one of the uninspired day out frm routines_but that in a unique rythmic manner.
"Loveless day like sunless morning,Dried flowers over a solitary tomb,Life as a-Dicey Game" These particular expressions were really Impresive !
    Its no doubt 5/5.
