My Prayer

Close my eyes before I sleep
Ask the lord for my soul to keep
Thank you for the day
And protect me as I lay
I apologize for straying away
I sinned today
And I'll probably sin again
I repent for my sins and to whomever I caused pain
And for the times I used your name in vain
At times the temptation is hard to fight
But that's not an excuse lord, I should learn to fight
I forget about you when I am doing right
Yet you never left me on those lonely nights
Thank you for your unconditional love
And all the blessings from above
