Dandelions

by beapolkadot   Feb 23, 2012

Well darling, I hate to say this
But we are weeds.

Not weeds like the drug
No, I don't think we're high off each other
We are not some teenagers relaxation "medication"

I mean weeds like dandelions
Or clovers
We coat fields in bright greens and yellows

Oh darling, we are weeds
We've overgrown our territory
Taken space from others
In our destructive path

We've broken apart the seams
Let our seeds blow in the wind
Floating, drifting into their space

Darling, please darling
See how the weeds have become us
This kind of thing happens sometimes

We'll fall and split
Grow somewhere else
Connecting in multiple places
Killing liveliness with our attachment
