Emptied.

by Poet on the Piano   Feb 24, 2012

I thought for each
run around the clock,
we were discovering
more and more
of who we were
together.

Midnights would fly....
and we would be so close
to achieving
everything a human
could never expect.

And you have
lifted me up,
all the while you have
the full time of my heart
(and you think it's not
supposed to be beating).

Yet I've found
nothing can be reversed,
and the stream of oxygen
is slowly dissipating
from what it should be....
watch me fight for a
pure breath.

I'm believing in
through
with you....
and you let me mirror
your own demise-

only to cut me off
and shake away my love,
this easy love
that I believed was deep.

I can't let this break me,
yet I can't see the bleeding
stop.

What a brilliant write!!!!!!!. Well the poem had an echo of sadness to it I couldn't help but smile as the whole poem fitted together so well and I really enjoyed reading it.

All the stanza's in this poem are really good so it is hard to pick a favorite but if I had to I would choose the following

    "Yet I've found
    nothing can be reversed,
    and the stream of oxygen
    is slowly dissipating
    from what it should be....
    watch me fight for a
    pure breath."
