I see

by Anywhere But Here   Feb 27, 2012

I lay on my floor
in fetal position.
My hands covering my ears,
crying,
shaking.
Still in my dress,
my shoes on the floor.
Raging,
bursting with fury.
I cannot take this anymore.
Why can't someone save me?
I know blade no longer can.
I am lost.
Scared.
Alone.
Mentally dying.
It begins to rain,
what a cliche.
I stumble to my car,
tears pouring from my eyes,
I speed down the street.
I know what I have to do.
My foot,
a weight on the gas.
The other,
light as a feather on the brake.
Almost there.
All I see is buildings,
trees,
sidewalk
and the people zooming by.
Swerving in and out of traffic.
Almost there.
Everyone is in my way.
The speed rises,
and so does my heart.
My hands grip onto the wheel,
my knuckles have turned white.
Almost there.
I look,
I see.
For the first time
I see.
Death staring me right in the eyes.
The red of the wall,
the grey road
passing beneath me.
Almost there.
People are stopping,
staring.
Rain is pounding on my windows.
I see...
Black.

Sad poem, I sensed chaos is each word.
It's horrible when we feel down and we don't know what to do. But don't let your feet be as a feather when it's near the break. :(
