The Final Chapter(part two)

by The Poet Behind The Poems   Mar 2, 2012

Thoughts overload as I try to banish
the horror of reality ,
a thousand boots rapidly geting closer

To there destiny

The beat of my heart furiously errupts
as my skin weeps from fear,
the screams of the innocent decreasing

with every gun shot

As my door falls a thousand guns
Look me dead in the eye
as i hear the hammer click in place

I realise...

You cant escape the path your given
It was already written
This is my time,i lived my unwritten

final chapter.

There is a definite sense of suspense when reading your poems. This is a great chapter and I loved the images and the way it made me feel when reading it.

I had chills thinking about the thousand boots getting closer - this was an awesome image.

    Loved the ending.

    Well done

WOW, Tony. That is surely brilliant, more creative than your first part, and it's really hard to write a sequel better than the first part. You nailed this one!

    I suggest you substitute:

decreasing.... with dwindling. It would sound more poetic :)

and 'the path you were give' instead of 'your given'.

I really love the pace, the darkness, the action and the tension all throughout. Kudos to you, I'm really sucked in to this.

Strong emotive words to set the scene.'Banish' 'horror''you can't escape the path your given'-a debatable issue to me -free will and destiny . Beautiful write:)
