Silent Violence

by Maple Tree   Mar 3, 2012

Majestic dark raven hear my call
Left craven, violated at the wall.

Silent, somber voices whisper
Fewer choices, looking deeper.

Over a still, barren dark moon
Sorrowful shrills commune.

Hypnotized stars cry In violence
Mystified eyes gaze In silence.

Wow, this is a really deep poem. Your title drew me in to read this one. Nice choice.

I like the imagery you created in this poem, you have vividly described something so dark and breath taking.

I suppose the thing about poetry is that it can be taken by the readers in different ways, we all interpret the words differently.

For me, I got the scene of abuse taking place, an attack in the dark and I can picture them backed against a wall. What struck me about your poem were your ending lines "Hypnotized stars cry In violence
    Mystified eyes gaze In silence."

    - This made me think of all the abuse which takes place with witnessess but yet they do nothing because of their fear. CReating one more victim.

Excellent poem and I am glad I came across it. Makes me very curious as to what made you write this and how the idea came to your head.

    5+ ;)

Eeeeeeeeee!! I think that THIS is the definition of creepy. Ha Ha. I loved it! The imagery that came to mind, sent chills up my spine. Why do I have the idea in my head, that somewhere far off, someone's being tortured? x___x Ha Ha. That's just a guess though. Awesome piece though, For sure! :O
