Oh dear Gravity

by Wafaa   Mar 6, 2012

Let me tell you a story
that will explain my reasons
Maybe there's a part you've missed

I looked for people
from left to right
No one seemed to exist

When I needed them the most
and I was dying inside
My heart was racing, I couldn't resist

It felt like walking in circles
trapped in my own thoughts
I had no rewards, no victory

People seem to walk away
Whenever they find me lost
they tend to leave me in my misery

Maybe it's a lesson everyone must learn
to trust no one but your own
that's what I learned, that's what I'll do
From now on I'll keep it true

People are not perfect
and neither are you

Wait a minute, what's going on?
what are you trying to do?

I said I wouldn't fall for you
I wouldn't love someone again
I just told you my fears
Why wouldn't you understand??

Please leave me alone
Oh dear Gravity, I beg you

you've broken my heart and soul
why do you keep pulling me?
don't you have mercy at all??

But then again, what's there to lose
I shouldn't be so confused
You're right, This is Life
We must win even when we lose

I guess it's time to let go
you win again, bravo!

I just hope this time is different
the one worth all the falls
I know I've told you that before
But this time I believe it even more

So take my hand and pull me down
I'm ready to fall back in your arms

I shall trust people again
and give it another shot
thank you Gravity for everything
the things you did, the lessons you taught
for giving us the will to fall again
when we thought we could not.

Guilt confessed, is Truth acknowledged. Acknowledgement, resumes victory.
