I Will Always Care

I loved the time that we spent together
Love and happiness returned to me
For the first time in years
In this short time I can say I fell in love with you
Other people may think its silly
But I disagree
You are smart,funny and beautiful
You are everything a guy could ask for
You tell me you do not deserve me
But the truth is I do not deserve you
I want to be with you so very badly
But your inner demons cause me to walk away
I will always feel badly for just walking away
I see you in pain everyday
I cannot handle it anymore
I wish I could
I wish you would get help
I am still in love with you
But I have to get over you
But this doesn't have to be goodbye
My doors are always open for you
I hope your life gets better
Please do not end it
Because I will always care

    The first part of the poem was written in past tense so I should have known it would end up sad, though the beginning did make me smile. There were beautiful words, a lovely poem.

    The second part broke my heart, two people who could not be together because of things that one of them is going through, very heartbreaking.

    Love your words though!
