I think forgiveness is one of the hardest of all ..but this poem said it all.
Excellent wording, great flow and words of wisdom

True, forgiving it's really tough, but if we don't forgive. Then those harsh feelings will stay like a splinter in our hearts. And when we forgive that's the way we can take that splinter out, to give time to our heart the time it needs to fully heal.

"Each breath, a gift from God, fills the empty space"

I like this because a breath can imply life and indeed life is a gift from god. One gift that we should appreciate and take care of everyday.

Oh boy did I need to read this, I have some people I need to forgive...its not even the forgiving part that's hard for me, its the forgetting and easing the hurt that's still there..

Heartfelt and emotional piece you have penned here... the form is elegant and dances..... This piece describes in detail the emotions and precious feelings....very pretty~

Forgiveness is a gift .....I agree . ' It will release the pain' /replace negative emotions with this 'gift'........the title reflects throughout this poem and you managed the form well. :)

I was moved by this and I found the ending to be espically sweet as so many of us are hoping for the good and happiness our loved ones cannot see for themselves.

It's only now that I'm able to match poems with poets. I remember reading this when Larry posted it and thinking whoever wrote this is a very wise person....It's hard to forgive but there is such relief when you finally do.
