Hey, you in the blue
with the bright red shoes.
Yes, you. Can you give me
a hello or two?

Hey, girl in the brown
who never makes a sound,
can you act like a clown
and turn my frown upside down?

Hey, kid with the round, green ball
who will grow to know it all,
how high can you jump,
are you frightened you might fall?

Hey, boy, here's a clue,
I'm really into you
and I bet that I'll
probably fall in love with you.

My feet are too big for bright red shoes
but I still can give out a hello or two.

And even though I dislike the color brown
I can turn any frown upside down.

I was that kid with the round, green ball
and sadly I did not grow up to know it all.
But I did jump and though I was afraid,
I dared not fall.

I'm still here with my "not so red" shoes
to remind that boy that I gave a clue
that I will probably fall in love with someone new.
