Restaurant of troubles

by Sarah   Mar 10, 2012

My mother always prayed before eating and blessed the hands who prepared the food.

Welcome to dinner, your booth is right over here.
Your hostess lost a baby last night, just under a year.
Would you care for some tea or wine, our house special is to die for.
Your waitress needs your tips tonight, homelessness and hunger have struck her.
Please enjoy your meal, you have picked the finest we offer.
A fatal cart wreck just took your cook's car and mother.
Would you care for some dessert, I recommend the truffles.
Tonight you have just blessed this restaurant of troubles.

Love the title well written piece had a good flow. I liked how u drew the alegories between the food items/dishes and the people who serve in the restaurant. I found it to b a thought provoking poem! Great job!
