Just one wish

If I could have just one wish
It would be that I could love you again

For once I did and now I don’t
And I know I broke your heart because

My wish would be that we would spend
One day together sitting by the sea

Talking and snuggling and having some laughs
Together at last just you and me

I wish that we could at least
Have a great friendship instead

Because since I told you, I didn’t like you
I haven’t heard from you since

So I’ll probably never get my wish
But that doesn’t matter either

We can’t change our feelings or live with a lie
Because honesty’s what really matters
