We Are Infinity

by Poet on the Piano   Mar 11, 2012

I'm near the horizon-
staggering, dizzy,
thrown into this love
by someone else's
heartbeat.

I had always dreamed
when I'd look at you,
look between your arms,
that we'd be frozen
in a world made for above.

I thought the earth
would freeze for us-
that motion would dissolve....

Yet, here we are,
puzzled by the flash
of comets in the sky.

Are we truly drunk or is this
f a l l i n g
into a commitment
that has no synonym,
no weapon that can
hold us back.

There's no possibility
that I will forget you,
because your eyes
do not lie-
I'm only dazed because
of how you show your love,
in truth and warmth.

The cloud's rosiness
and the sun's scarlet embrace
may bring us into a new
confusion....
but it is what is right,
what is pure,
I cannot love without you.

Daylight
and moonlight
become one
as we exist in a harmony
that few have ever seen
with their souls.

We are in accord
with the unity of angels
flying above us,
perfectly
soaring into an infinity
of love.
