Trust doesn't mean anything anymore

I dedicate this poem to anybody who has ever had or have a friend that betrayed them. please comment and tell me what you think.

Why do friends have to hate each other?
Why do friends have to backstab each other?
Don't they know how to be a friend?
Obviously not, otherwise if they did, their friendship wouldn't have had to end.
I don't understand why friends treat each other like crap but pretty soon it's gonna backtrack.
There is a lesson to be learned through all of this.
Treat each other with respect and it will never end like this.

    It really hurts to have someone whom you've treated as a friend but then you've discovered that that person had never really been one from the start.
