I promised myself to stop dropping in, for I might just stand right there, speechless. Stumbling with your flawless poetry that never failed to take my breath away, or to leave me all in awe, wandering for the right words. And I thought I was the queen of patriotic poetry in here? Huh, who am I fooling? You, with your first poem about your homeland, hit me to the core and made me tearful...like literally tearful. How I wish I could walk through the chambers of your brain, to kiss away your pain and cradle your thoughts. How I wish I could be by you, now. It would truly feel cozy and sweet. Wonderfully written, lovely. |

I had it my mind to write something really long here...I was planning on breaking it down stanza by stanza to let you know my thoughts but....I decided not to. I left my homeland many years ago and I think you may need to do the same...perhaps you will then decide your Aruba is for you or...maybe, like me, you will continue to explore in the hope of finding a better place. |
