Other

Day 1
Solace leaves early in the morning only to find chaos reigning on her lips.
"There are stories to be told,
things to be released
from scratchy throats."

Day 2
Solace wakes up with a shiver.
It weighs on her
how long he's been gone

Day 3
Solace no longer waits
for her nightly trains.
She prefers the hikes.
The ever so soothing company
of all the space she has to breathe.

Day 4
Solace eats, with crickets
and the clock ticking.
"Days seem to go by
slower these days."

Day 5
Solace teaches herself
to chase pessimism away

Day 6
Solace takes her heart
and washes it from her sleeve

These are the weeks in solace's mind,
the leaks of her washed-out color life.
The story of how she kept him
in her bones forever.
This is how she soaked up all
she knew in purified water
only to see it glimmer.

It will hinge on her
how low long she sacrificed
just to live within solace.
The words that slowly identified her:
"All I know is how to wait,
wait for them to settle in
idealists marching towards
my better tomorrow.
All I know is how to wait,
wait for words to grow uneasily on my tongue,
wait for the gaps to full-fill themselves.
All I know is how to wait,
and Ill wait in solace,
Ill wait."

This is quite clever. I really loved this because indeed it does tell a story and in a different way. Your lines are still poetic in their own way though not written in stanzas. I see this as a dairy of your emotions & observations. A a comparison of one day to the next. I feel they transition nicely into this story you wish to tell. Nice write, you write with a different style, I like it.
