Loyaltly can be cheap.

Sick, thick smell; stifles sweet,
heaven sent scent, stained like nicotine finger.
Red lips meet clenched fist;
broken boy putty in tender slender arms,
the non-future entity sticky like forgotton gum,
walks with you like loyal stray without a home.

Welcomed shabby mutt shelters smugly;
proud owner frowns as the training is long,
and the smiles short - even as a pup, hopeless.
Now begs at her feet, happy only on scraps -
the only trick this dog learnt.
