I Need a Walmart Woman

by Glenn G   Mar 20, 2012

Last night you came home from work
With a smirk on your face
Said you're leavin' me
And leavin' this place
You went to the closet
Started packin' your suits
Versachi, Armani
And patent leather boots
You said I was no longer needed
In fact I'd been outgrown
Your job feeds your ego
And have money of your own

I need a WalMart woman
Someone to be real
One who really loves me
Who won't wheel and deal
I need a WalMart woman
A woman of worth
A high-class looker
Who's still down to earth

I woke the next mornin'
With my eyes swelled shut
Cried all night
From our break-up
I replayed the memory
Of the words you had to say
Got back in bed
And cried all day

I need a WalMart woman
Someone to be real
One who really loves me
Who won't wheel and deal
I need a WalMart woman
A woman of worth
A high-class looker
Who's still down to earth

I woke up around six
Had nothin' to eat
Sat up in bed
Then stumbled to my feet
Put on my shoes
Walked out the front door
Drove down the street
To the WalMart store
Walked down aisle one
Two then three
Picked up everything
My eyes could see
Filled up my buggy
'til it couldn't hold anymore
Pushed the wobbly thing
Down to register four
My heart couldn't believe
What my eyes had just seen
A playmate at the counter
In a pair of blue jeans

I need a WalMart woman
Someone to be real
One who really loves me
Who won't wheel and deal
I need a WalMart woman
A woman of worth
A high-class looker
Who's still down to earth

Now your memory's gone
Gone with the wind
You're not my lover
Sure not my friend
You may wonder
Why I think of you no more
You'll find the answer
At register four

I found my WalMart woman
She ain't for sale
She runs a register
And she rings my bell

I found a WalMart woman
And she rings my bell

    Save money..live better! Walmart!

LOved the way you incorperated walmarts slogan into your poem. Def sounds like you'll be saving money and living better with your Walmart woman. Awesome funny piece :)
