A little girl is sitting by herself
Sitting in an ally, surrounded by ash
Where her house used to be
Not only was it a house it was her life
All she knew
Her family thinking she was gone all ready
She saw them but couldn't reach them in time
Who knows where they are now
But in the alley she just sat there
Not knowing why or for what... just waited
Within a few weeks she got very sick
She thought she would better
...but that day never came
One day a lost scruffy kitten
Saw the weak and loss bone matter girl
And, knew what she was going though
So he laid with her wrapped in a ball
She was awake enough to smile
And put her arm around him
They shared a powerful contention
Of love, happiness, warmth, and not forgotten
Something they hadn't felt in awhile
Both lost, so young, but they had each other
And that's all what mattered
Now there bodies may be gone
But there spirits are free, strong, and healthy
Away from that darken day
That shattered their homes and short but for filling life's
And now they are in a new home, forever with each other
