Evening Hour

by Lofallenve   Mar 26, 2012

At the end of day
I lie down in my bed
And imagine its you at the end of

my fingers

Brush against where you slept
Memories of tangled up skin
Play like a movie in my head
My lips break into

a smile

On my face when my phone
Lights up with your name
So far away,
But with such simple technology
You are but a small

thought away

Though not for long
The hope of the morning
Is what keeps me holding on
The knowing of seeing you tomorrow
Is what holds me on through

the day

When I see your smile at my door
When I feel your arms around me once more
Is a day where I can finally feel at home
Feel whole

once again

You have me falling for you
Deeper in a love we have created
A beautiful masterpiece
Upon a canvas with

no end

Of the day I fall asleep with thoughts
Of you that help ease me into slumber
With dreams for a small comfort
And the embrace of the blankets
Feeling again the warmth

you left

Your heart here in my hands
Waiting for the day
That you make it yours again.

A beautiful poem of love, I thought it was very interesting how you overlapped your sentences in such a way, it added a creative spark indeed.
