Sarah`s Prayer

by craig   Jun 27, 2004

As you lay there
Hanging between life and death,
As the medical machines
Monitor your every breath,
As your poor parents
Huddle together distraught,
As you lay in a dreamless sleep
Your in my thoughts.

We`ve all made mistakes
But the cost yours is way too high,
Our father who art in heaven
Please don't let her die,
Let her broken body heal
Let her survive and pull through,
Let her open up her eyes
And her life begin anew.

Let her see another sunrise
Let her one day bare a child,
Let her realise that you dear lord
Looked down on her and smiled,
Think of her mother and father
Who raised her from the crib,
Spare them the unthinkable
Please listen to my bid.

Poor young helpless Sarah
You don't even know my name,
I humbly send this prayer for you
So your future can be reclaimed,
I hope one day to meet you
When your bleakest hours long past,
Heavenly father this poem is my plea
Please answer what i have asked.

Hope and pray your friend pulls through Michelle xxx

Thank you Lord that she did.

Sweetheart I still can't believe you did this for Sarah not even knowing her..and that it just poured out of you and so stunningly beautiful too...remember getting up and reading this and crying..just touched and amazed at YOU...wonderful you. (yes, WONDERFUL I SAID..and you ARE...in SO many ways.) You inspire me to be a better person just because of the person that you are inside..forget all of the outside gorgeousness for a minute!!! You're my dream come true..thank you for writing this and yes, thank GOD that Sarah is fine...she'll be back to work July 1st, so you WILL get to meet her now..this poem touched her mom so much it brought her to tears..you'll meet her too..love you always, xxxMich
