Wish to turn off darkness

by Ole Carsten   Mar 28, 2012

Thursday, a day of silence,
communication is at hold.
Even the internet is drained from letters,
Maybe a day of reflection,
Mind seeking: stretching each brain cell.

I am sitting in darkness,
Covered in a warm duvet.
Outside the wind is hauling.
Trying to tell me a story.
Sadly I am not a wind whisperer.

Deep night now, longing for light.
A glimpse of hope,
Not to despair all night,
Even I need some rest and sleep.
Wish I could turn off the darkness within.
