Remember when you were little back in elementry school, when you had no worries? I mean yeah sure the only worries you had were who took my crayons or not getting the must have toy right that second... Compared to all the problems im faced with now as a 22 year old i wish life didnt have to be so complicated.. I wish life just didnt HURT. |
This read more like prose. But I love prose and it's hard to find a good piece. I honestly enjoyed this a lot, it made me smile in places especially when you brought up so many memories of the family. I DO remember how my parents would stop everything if I was sick, and I can still see that look of worry they always had on their faces.....and then I liked the imagery you gave too. Those long free days when we'd run back inside home and our clothes were never clean, that's for sure! There's a few spelling errors, but otherwise it is a good reflection on the past, and the memory we carry with us. A bit heartbreaking we realize real things hurt us now, but we can remember that hope and innocence still. good points :) |

I actually enjoyed this read, but it isn't a poem in my opinion, which doesn't make it bad. What makes this good is the fact that everybody can relate to it, as everybody has to undergo and experience it. |
