As The Caged Bird Sings

I'm tired of being left in tears,
Why won't the world be quiet instead of screaming in my ears. Why can't I do it right. Why cant I figure out life?

I'm so lost in this fight, that I've forgotten what feeling happy is like. Letting life rob me of my inner being. Stripping me down to bear insecurity. Letting thoughts consume me and letting my silent plea go unheard.

Like the bird in a cage I long to fly. To leave this prison and soar to the sky. This tattered body who's had enough. Is going away with a single stroke.

My time has come, my life has ended. I turn the clock back to the child I was. To watch her smile and walk in love. What went wrong, I'll guess you'll never know. Because now shes gone and away she flew.
