Dandelion Smile-

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 1, 2012

Yellow is the colour of her soul-
and when the sun meets her halfway,
she lets her arms be moved
swinging with gravity and the round
glitter of light who guides her home.

The breezes around her mumble
that she'll soon turn white-
and that someone else will capture
her yellow lips of liquid.

But she says nothing
while her limbs somersault
and scream freely
watch me.....

[And cloud angels
decide they'll secretly
name her as their own.]

The sun never sets
in her radiant innocence,
she stands upon it,
next to it, above it,
learning how to warm
the world in one breath.

But when night echoes
and tries to teach her
a different reflection of light,
she stays soft and dreamy,
making naked shadows
disappear-
laughing that the grass
is still as green in midnight
as it was in dawn.

Those springfuls of summers
will never forget
what it would take
to bring back a dandelion smile.

I love the whimsy you create in this. Such a beautifully, carefree piece.

I like the part about night trying to teach a different reflection of light...well done!

    Wow.

In love with this, April is full of such natural images, you really gave me such a happy feeling, reading this.

The title was eye-catching, I love dandelions, most people don't, but I think they are such whimsical plants.

    "But she says nothing

    and scream freely
    watch me....."
